The event last evening was truly amazing. Over 250 people showed up to support Corey and his family at a Masquerade Ball they hosted. Speaking with many of the guests, each had at their own story and connection to Corey. “Amazing, beautiful, kind, caring and always asks about my kids and is truly interested”, were just a few words amongst so many. Corey’s dad Ted is stronger then anyone i’ll ever know. He presents on behalf of Corey and others with ALS, speaks of a friend passing and cheers us on to support Young Faces with ALS with a smile. I have never seen Ted not smile. I cannot even imagine what this wonderful family is going through but they certainly have my support. i was proud to be among so many lovely and truly caring people last night. George Mark Children’s House is a nonprofit organization that provides the gift of time to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families – time for kids to be just kids and parents to be “mom” and “dad”, instead of round-the-clock caregivers. As the first— and, currently, only—freestanding residential pediatric palliative care facility in the United States, we offer a unique alternative to hospice, hospital, or home care. Our House is setting a new standard for pediatric palliative care, providing high-quality medical care to children with life-limiting illnesses and much-needed support services to their parents and siblings in a home-like setting.

The Cancer League’s annual signature event is the Holly Ball, held in December of each year. We pepper the rest of our annual fundraising calendar with a variety of events ranging from fashion shows to educational events to book signings. We vary our focus each year to keep our events fresh and interesting. Saks Fifth Avenue, Gump’s San Francisco, Grace Street Catering and Andronico’s have been particularly generous in co-hosting events with us to help us raise funds for cancer. HIGHLAND PARTNERS, BH&G – Mason-McDuffie is this year’s lead donor. Please Join Us and Support the Cancer League in their efforts to find a cure.
